Internet Research
Nexus conducts quantitative internet surveys both …
- Directly by email, and
- By questionnaire located on our own website.
The latter approach enables more flexibility in design via inclusion of picture (& sound) prompts, skips conditional on previous answers and QC via progressive logic checks.
In most instances we recommend a survey hosted on the Nexus website with respondents either invited by email (with individual password) or deflected from a link on the client’s own website. Click the link to the left, [Nexus wants your Opinion], to see an example of a Nexus website survey in operation.
We believe that source of respondent is especially critical at this stage of the development of internet research. Whilst seldom an issue say in B2B surveys, only just over three-quarters of domestic households now have internet access at home. Furthermore, only a minority of those over 60 yrs are real users of the internet.
We therefore advocate panel sourcing via the major panel providers who subscribe to ESOMAR quality considerations and who ensure panel profiles match target market definitions. This also avoids any chance of panel conditioning in our own surveys, which thus have much bigger bases to draw from.
The TSS system employed by Nexus permits clients to view internet survey results as they build in real time. Click Results to see the accumulated answers to the Opinion Survey example.
